Hi, I’m Dyuti 👋
I’m a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland and a Psychology Associate (LPA) in Washington, D.C.
I offer psychotherapy services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, supporting individuals through a blend of evidence-based practices, deep listening, and a culturally affirming approach.
Clinical Philosophy
My practice is informed by anti-racist, anti-capitalist frameworks and minority stress theory. I aim to create a space where clients from marginalized racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds feel seen, heard, and supported. I view therapy as an opportunity to affirm your identity, deepen self-understanding, and move toward greater harmony and satisfaction in your life.
Training & Education
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychological Science from the University of Maryland and completed a post-master’s certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University.
My professional training includes:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (The New Washington School of Psychiatry)
EMDR Therapy (Institute for Creative Mindfulness)
Clinical Trauma Professional Certification
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy including CBT, DBT, and MB-CBT
With over 10 years of experience, I’ve worked across clinical, research, school, and community-based settings supporting children, families, adults, and couples.
Beyond the therapy room
Outside of my clinical work, I’m a lifelong learner and curious explorer. I love to cook (and eat!), especially vegetarian dishes inspired by global cuisines.
Traveling brings me joy — I’ve lived in four U.S. states and two countries and hope to keep discovering new cultures and places. I was raised between the U.S. and India and that bicultural experience introduced me to holistic ways of living early in life. I’m passionate about sustainability, gardening (I started with grow kits during the pandemic!), and mind-body practices. I’m also a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200, Yoga Alliance) and enjoy sharing the traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda as part of a balanced, grounded life.
