FAQs

  • Individual Psychotherapy 🧠

I offer long-term psychotherapy and meet with clients on a weekly basis. The option to engage in longer and more frequent sessions is also available to discuss one-on-one. No one person is the same and thus, my approach to psychotherapy is unique and caters to these individual differences. We will work together to determine what is best for your ongoing treatment.

    Group Psychotherapy 🤝

I offer a support group for BIPOC adults who desire open interactions and discussions with others who hold shared identities. Through the use of creative, thought-provoking activities and prompts over the course of a 75-minute group session, you will be able to engage with other group members to address challenges you are facing. The aim is to foster growth, confidence, and acceptance to thrive as who you are. This is an 8-week group that requires enrollment prior to the first group session.

  • I am a fee-for-service provider and accept payment out of pocket. Based on your insurance plan, you may be able to receive partial or full reimbursement for therapy services. I will provide you with the documentation you need to request out-of-network benefit reimbursement with your insurance provider. I will also provide you with a Goodness of Faith Estimate that outlines the estimated costs associated with the work we are doing together. It can be helpful to contact your insurance company and share the following information:

“I’m planning to see a provider who does not take my insurance. Would I be eligible for reimbursement for these sessions through any out-of-network benefits?”

If yes, ask the following questions:

    1. How much is my out-of-network deductible?

    2. How much of that deductible have I already met?

    3. After meeting my deductible, what percentage of my session fees will you pay if the fee is $200?

    4. Where can I find the out-of-network claim form?

    5. Where do I send the claim form when I complete it?

  • That’s a great question - costs for therapeutic services vary by service and by provider. Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can expect from me.

    👤 Individual Psychotherapy:

$180 per 50-minute intake session (typically 2 intake sessions required)

    $200 per individual session

    🫂 Group Psychotherapy:

    $30 per 30-minute orientation session

    $50 per group session

An individual session is typically 50 minutes and a group session is 75 minutes. I offer sliding scale options based on income.

  • Payment for the full session is expected at the time of our appointment. I do accept HSA and FSA credit and debit cards along with other major credit cards as forms of payment. If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged a late cancellation fee.

  • At this time, I am practicing in a hybrid format, offering virtual therapy sessions through a HIPAA-compliant platform and seeing clients in person two days a week. In person availability is limited at this time. I will keep all clients informed of any changes to policies.
